Little Big is proud to partner with Five Mile Creek Schoolhouse and Pond Hill Farm this summer to offer a truly unique and immersive opportunity for young people.
Five Mile Creek Schoolhouse
We’re talkin’ Old Skool. Literally.
The historic Five Mile Creek Schoolhouse was once an operating one-room schoolhouse that educated the youth of this rural area for decades. Local students learned and played here from 1915 until 1952. Now, 73 years after its official pupils, youngsters will get an amazing opportunity to experience this setting—and the schoolhouse will get its walls filled with laughter and kid energy once again.
We are honored to be a part of its revitalization and among the long list of teachers who came before. Come take a step back in time!
Awesome fact: The schoolhouse was purchased by the Five Mile Creek Community Association for $1.00 in 1954, and since then hosts a community potluck the first Saturday of every month for all to come enjoy!
Pond Hill Farm
We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with Pond Hill Farm this summer!
This 30-year-old family-owned and operated farm has a rich history of providing engaging experiences for families for decades. Between their 173 acres of woods to explore, maintained trails, trout ponds, farm games, and opportunities for kids to get their hands in the dirt; Pond Hill Farm offers a wide range of good times. Together, our shared passion for connecting young people with the outdoors and fostering environmental stewardship will make for a truly memorable and impactful summer!
