We are committed to providing learners of all ages an immersive outdoor experience that sparks curiosity, joyful exploration, and imagination. Through cultivating meaningful connections with nature and each other, we aim to instill an appreciation and compassion that will last a lifetime.

How We Do It

Each day brings campers a fresh set of offerings—nature exploration, hands-on activities, creating projects, and more! These are planned to inspire curiosity, growth and joyful discovery.

But we also know that the most meaningful moments often can’t be scheduled.

That is why we stay flexible. If a group of campers is deeply engaged-whether it be building a shelter, exploring the creek or making a work of art- We won’t interrupt the magic.  We’ll stay with them, support their momentum and let the experience unfold! 

Because when children are immersed, this is when the real learning and meaningful connections happen.   

Our priority is to let kids be kids-to explore, to play and build relationships that matter.

Why We Do It

Little Big specializes in making meaningful connections and creating unforgettable experiences. Our intention is for participants to experience joy in nature, be inquisitive and to explore their surroundings. We encourage curiosity, playful exploration and appropriate risk-taking. We feel this results in gaining confidence, self-reliance and pride. We believe that being immersed in nature opens your heart and mind to the wonders it provides. Whether you’re three or ninety-three, we aim to foster participants’ sense of freedom to ignite their inner child. We do this by providing immersive hands-on experiences that spark wonder, confidence and connection to the natural world, ourselves and others.
